Introducing the 4th Annual Waterford Film Festival

Three Day Festival

Running from the 5th to the 7th of November, the festival showcases a wide range of films from feature films, documentaries, animation, short films, experimental and student work.

Once again Waterford Municipal Art Gallery at Greyfriars will be transformed into a cinema for the festival.

Festival Programme: will be available in late September

Prizes: cash prize for short film competition, certificate awards and screenplay cash prize

The Waterford City Council Award for Best Short Film :

There will be a cash award as well as a certificate for this award and there will be 2nd place Certificate for this category also.

Best Feature Film and Feature Documentary Competition

We are open to feature films and feature documentaries but no short documentaries.

Short Screenplay Competition

The short screenplay competition will also have a cash award for first place as well as a certificate.

For the past three years the festival has had many successes. We have received over 500 films from around the world and have screened over 150 of these films.

Each year about 80% of filmmakers attend the festival, some from as far as the U.S. and Canada. All have been hugely complementary about their experience.
