Introducing the 3rd Annual Waterford Film Festival

Three Day Festival

Running from the 6th to the 8th of November, the festival showcases a wide range of films from feature films, documentaries, animation, short films, experimental and student work.

This year Greyfriars Municipal Art Gallery is being transformed into a cinema for the festival

For the past 2 years the festival has had many successes. We have received over 500 films from around the world and have screened over 150 of these films.

Both year’s up to 80 % of filmmakers have attended the festival some from as far as the U.S. and Canada. All have been hugely complementary about their experience.

We have in the past screened the films between 3-5 days and between 3-4 venues and the festival has been open to all kinds of films.

Due to the current economic climate we have to scale back the festival but we plan to put on a hugely varied program which will both entertain and stimulate all who attend as well as providing much needed exposure for filmmakers local, national and international.
